WAKE-UP-CALL

WAKE_UP_CALL takes place inside the mind of an android. The year is 2410, and civilization has flourished with the invention of artificial intelligence, which has the ability to think and learn for itself. But with every new advancement, comes complications. Some AI, placed in sleep mode, start to experience dreams (this stops their ability to learn). This glitch, if you will, causes the android to become unresponsive, rendering its value to that of a paperweight.

That's where WAKE_UP_CALL, a new and thriving company, comes in. I mean, you wouldn't just throw away your brand-new holo-tablet just because it stops working. WAKE_UP_CALL, using the latest in VR technology, enters the android's algorithm in an attempt to wake it up, restoring all functionality to normal. The player takes on the role of a technician working for WAKE_UP_CALL in an attempt to kill the AI, causing it to wake up safely.

Patch notes:

Open Beta patch notes:

 

Red Bubble:

  • I started from scratch on the entire bubble.

  • Simplified path by removing tools to account for time spent in the game (should take 15 mins or less to beat).

  • I included variables from Green and Blue bubble that affect the ending of the game.

 

Green Bubble:

  • I included a new path that allows you to explore the inside of the android, and even beat the game early.

  •  I fixed scripting errors that added points to the number of family members.

 

Blue Bubble:

· Added the option to use tools.

 

Mansion entrance:

  • Altered the path, so the player always travels to the blue bubble first. 

  • I had scraped all other paths that led to the player losing tools before they reached the bubbles.

 

Gold patch notes:

 

Scripting:

  • Fixed error that showed more than one result after finishing the game.

  • I have added dynamic visual effects to passages.

  • I fixed a minor error in scripting that occurred while whispering to Carol.

  • Fixed scripting for text spacing.

  • Fixed error with tools.

 

Images:

· Added images to all endings.

 

Sounds:

  • Added sounds to the main ending.

  • Added sound to all passages with Vince.

 

General:

  • Fixed grammar.

  • I Finished path for talking to the android in the garage.
